#27 Leggy Bay

Hello, My name is Shelah Wetter, Born and raised in Spokane WA area. I’ve been training horses of all breeds since I was 11 years old and I’ve been showing American Saddlebreds since I was 5 years old. There have been high highs and even lower lows in my horse career. I’ve been very seriously injured, and I’ve said goodbye to good horses. However every year my intense love and desire to be on horseback is strengthened. My passion has been shaped by my life experiences and changed over the years. I’ll still show a nice horse from time to time but I really do love being in the mountains on my Saddlebreds. They make lovely mountain horses, and they are a very versatile breed.

I’m fortunate to have a mother who has spent decades breeding the best quality, hearty, utilitarian horses possible. From her breeding program I’ve gotten to choose my special horses.  The bay in the photo is in foal, and wont be riding this season, the black is Spitfire she is a typical lead mare, brave and full of heart. She’s also very well matched with the husbands (Nick team #28 Pale Rider) experienced Tennessee Walking Horse named Chief. The others can be seen on Facebook.
