#47 Team Fire Walker

Hi my name is Craig Thorngren and my horse is an Arab/Paint mix mare named Onyx. I’ve been struggling to come up with a name for our team, but I’ve settled on ‘Team Fire Walker’ for two reasons.  First, I have done a lot of crazy things in my life, but walking through fire with Onyx was without a doubt one of greatest things ever.  Second, I was told that ‘Team Bad ass Mo Fo’s’ would probably not go over to well…

 I’ve only been riding since July of 2015.  If you ask me a question and you get what you think is a smart ass answer, remember, I know literally nothing about horses other than when Onyx and I are on the trail all problems/issues etc… seem to go away (example;  You- What do you ride Craig?  Me- A horse, what else?)  We live in Arlington, WA but my wife does endurance riding so we travel all over the NW for her rides.

Some of our goals this year are to go over those super scary bridges as the lead horse…  We really need to work on that, and to pack out the drone on the trail and get some great photos and videos with it.

I’d also like to find some more trails (different) that are within a day trips drive and are for beginners (we have the BCH trail book, but some of their ideas of beginner trails and mine are just a bit different…).
